An inspection group led by Qian Suomei, head of Chongchuan district in Nantong, Jiangsu province, inspected safety procedures throughout the district on Nov 30.

Qian said that all departments in the district should pay close attention to the safety of workers in production and manufacturing jobs.

The group inspected fire-fighting equipment in communities, offered advice on safety management, and discussed ways to better protect the lives and property of locals.

Qian also inspected the workshops of several enterprises and learned about safety during production processes.

She stressed that emergency response mechanisms should be established to ensure safer production, and emergency drills should be held regularly to improve the overall safety awareness and emergency response behavior of workers.

She also praised work being done to reduce the illegal use of fuel gas in snack bars and said that responsible departments should strengthen supervision to avoid such problems in the future.
