The Su-Tong Science and Technology Park in  Nantong, Jiangsu was recently admitted as a member of the Green Development Alliance of National Economic and Technological Development Zones at a forum on green development held in Suzhou, Jiangsu province.

The alliance was set up in August 2016 under the guidance of the Department of Foreign Investment Administration of China's Ministry of Commerce and through joint efforts by 36 leading national green economic and technological development zones.

The alliance aims to strengthen cooperation in green innovation and cyclic development, attract investment to the green industry, and promote industrial upgrading.

The industrial park was established through cooperation between Jiangsu province and Singapore, as well as joint efforts by the Chinese and Austrian governments. The park is considered a "demonstration" park connecting Nantong and Suzhou.

By following the examples of Singapore, Austria, and Suzhou, the park has already made numerous achievements in cultivating industries, attracting investment, and developing the local economy.
