Hai'an's green recycling-based agriculture sand table was displayed in the main area of the Jiangsu pavilion at the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Expo for New Farmers and New Technology held in Nanjing on Nov 19.

The sand table, 4.5 meters in diameter, showcased the green agriculture system in Hai'an, which includes a chicken cultivation center, an ecological plantation area, and an organic fertilizer plant.

Yu Lizhong, mayor of Hai'an, said that the project will promote agricultural development and increase product quality, profits, productivity and incomes for farmers.

The project was praised by Han Changfu, director of China's Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.

In August, Hai'an was listed as a pilot zone for green recycling-based agriculture. It received 21 million yuan ($2.99 million) in financial support from the central government and more than 42 million yuan in investment for the project.

"The green recycling-based agriculture project is systematic and integrated, and we should learn from it," said a farmer from Shanxi province.

The expo focused on new technology related to information, biology, engineering, and machinery, all of which are important to new farmers.
