The Library of Nantong, located in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, received a delegation from Zvezdara, a municipality in the city of Belgrade, Serbia, on Oct 24.

During the visit, the delegation was impressed by an intelligent experience area allowing visitors to try out a number of high-tech devices, including virtual reality (VR) technology.

The trip was meant to facilitate cultural exchange between the two sides, said Milos Ignjatovic, head of the municipality.

Nantong and Serbia have developed a close relationship in recent years.

The Nantong-based Mlily, China's biggest memory-foam manufacturer, established its European production center in Serbia in 2015.

The city also established a Serbian branch for the Association of Nantong Merchants Abroad in 2016.

In February this year, the Nantong Zhiyun Football Club welcomed its first foreign player, Mladen Kovacevic, a member of the FK Becej football club in Serbia.
