Nine more hospitals now available on medical insurance app
Another nine hospitals in Nantong, East China’s Jiangsu province, launched online services on the city’s official medical insurance app in late September.
The app currently allows people to pay for medical treatment and medicine, obtain public medical information, manage personal medical information, and obtain insurance for 20 local hospitals.
These hospitals include the Affiliated Hospital of Nantong University, the First People’s Hospital of Nantong, the Nantong Maternity and Children's Health Hospital, the Nantong Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Nantong Stomatological Hospital, the Nantong Tumor Hospital, and several hospitals in Tongzhou district and Hai’an, Rudong, and Qidong counties.
Anybody covered by the country's basic medical insurance can use the app to register, pay medical bills, check examination results, search for relevant laws and information, and apply for commercial health insurance.
Officials said around 85,000 people have used the app since its official launch on July 5. Another six medical institutes are expected to join the app in November.
