An international photography exhibition -- themed on the Belt and Road Initiative -- opened at the BU Center in Nantong, East China’s Jiangsu province on Oct 10 and will run to Oct 30, according to the organizers.

The event is being organized by the China Artistic Photography Society, the Chonghuan district government and the CPC Chongchuan committee.

On display are a total of 152 works from China and abroad.

The photos depict the natural scenery, culture and customs in countries and regions involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.

According to Yang Yuanxing, chairman of the China Artistic Photography Society, his body sourced the works of photographers in the BRI countries for the show, to seek inspiration.

“The Belt and Road is not only the road for trade and cooperation, but also for culture and friendship,” Yang said.

There are also 24 photos of Nantong on display at the exhibition, showcasing the charms of the coastal city as a key conjunction on the Maritime Silk Road.
