Exhibition of Chinese paintings held in Tongzhou
An exhibition of Chinese paintings was held in Da Ming Yi Yuan, an exhibition hall in Erjia town, Tongzhou district, Nantong, Jiangsu province on Oct 6.
The exhibition hall was opened on Dec 28, 2018 thanks to the efforts of Gu Daming, a native of Tongzhou district who also happens to be a nationally recognized artist and president of the Green Landscape Painting Academy.
The exhibition hall includes several pavilions focusing folk customs, Chinese paintings, ink-stones and porcelains.
During the trial operation, exhibitions of painters from Russia and Beijing were held.
A total of 76 esteemed Chinese painters from around the world were invited to paint nature scenes for the exhibition.
"Painters were divided into two groups who went to Taihang Mountains and Ningbo, Zhejiang province respectively to look for inspiration. This led to the 113 paintings that are currently on display at the exhibition," said Gu.
One of the exhibitors, Wang Juting, said that different ideas can be shared during the exhibition to produce more works with positive energy.
