Residents from Yangzhou will soon be able to take bullet trains to Qidong, a county-level city in Nantong, in less than three hours, as railway authorities plan to optimize train operations in the Yangtze River Delta region.

According to the plan, starting from Oct 11, the Nanjing-Qidong railway will be put into use, allowing passengers to travel between Yangzhou and Qidong directly by bullet train.

Second-class seats for Fuxing bullet trains traveling from Yangzhou to Nanjing, Nantong and Qidong are priced at 34 yuan($5), 61 yuan and 79 yuan respectively.
