International convention center nears completion in Nantong

The Nantong International Convention and Exhibition Center is nearing completion, with construction on its final phase being approved, according to local media reports.

The complex, located in Zhongchuang district, Nantong, East China’s Jiangsu province, has an advanced design and will be used for conventions, exhibitions, catering, and more.

The complex boasts a conference center and an exhibition center. The conference center covers an area of 108,647 square meters and has an overall floor space of 81,615 square meters, while the exhibition center has an area of 77,657 square meters and an overall floor space of 41,800 square meters.

A choir event is scheduled to be held at the center on Sept 30, and the opening ceremony of the 2019 China Forest Tour Festival will be held there on Oct 18.

The project was led by Beijing Beichen Shidai Exhibition Co, a company with experience in providing services for large international conferences.

The company has served high-level international conferences including APEC, the G20 Summit, the BRICS Summit, and the 2018 SCO Summit in Qingdao.
