Tongzhou leader discusses project with JD Group
Lin Yi, leader of Tongzhou district, met with Ji Yuewei, vice president of JD.com, China’s largest retailer, and discussed progress on the E-commerce Logistics Industrial Park in Tongzhou on Sept 17.
The company signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Tongzhou government in 2017 and made plans to build an e-commerce logistics industrial park in Textile City, an area in the district.
According to Ji Yuewei, the park will be in charge of four of the company’s operations and will have access to advanced infrastructure and abundant resources.
“We have high expectations for the future development of Tongzhou and will make efforts to boost the regional economy by further upgrading our business structure and deepening cooperation with the government,” said Ji.
A leading one-stop e-commerce platform, JD Group provides over 320 million active customers with direct access to a wide range of high-quality products. It has helped a large number of local and international brands tap into China’s fast-growing e-commerce market.
The company has also been a member of the Fortune Global 500 for many years.
