Nantong promotes culture and tourism in Macao

A promotional conference on culture and tourism in Nantong was held in the Macao Special Administrative Region on Sept 5.
The event was organized by the Nantong culture, broadcasting, television and tourism bureau, and officials from the Jiangsu, Nantong, and Macao governments, as well as merchants from Nantong, took part.
During the conference, Ge Jinkun, director of the Nantong culture, broadcasting, television and tourism bureau, discussed Nantong’s history, culture, scenery, transport, and food.
Ge said that Nantong and Macao’s cultural and tourist attractions complement each other well.
He hoped the two sides would cooperate in tourism, and also invited Macao residents to travel to and start businesses in Nantong.
Xu Jun, a senior official of Macao, said that Macao would share its experiences in tourism management and services with Nantong and take advantage of its relationship with Portuguese-speaking countries to promote Nantong’s culture and tourist attractions.
At the conference, the Nantong culture, broadcasting, television and tourism bureau signed a cooperation agreement with the Macao branch of the China International Travel Service, stating that the two sides will work together in developing tourism products and share their tourism resources.
Representatives from 11 local travel agencies also attended the conference, which was covered by media from both Macao and Nantong.
