The Qidong Social Welfare Center, reportedly the largest nursing center in East China’s Jiangsu province, has begun operating, according to a recent local news release.

Unlike traditional nursing homes, the new nursing center includes a shopping mall, a residential community, a hospital, and even an amusement park.

It occupies an area of 72,500 square meters, with green space making up 35 percent of the total area. 

Residents will be sorted into different buildings according to their health so that medical care can be more efficiently provided.
