Nantong, Japan promote cooperation in software industry

The 2019 China-Japan Software Development Convention was held in Nantong, East China’s Jiangsu province, on July 24.

More than 80 software companies from the two countries took part in the event to discuss cooperation, especially in software application in intelligent manufacturing.

The convention also announced the official establishment of a China-Japan software park in Nantong. The park will mainly focus on software outsourcing services to Japan.

Nantong has maintained a long-term partnership with Japan, the second largest foreign investor in the city. 

The city is currently home to more than 1,000 Japanese and 527 Japanese companies, among which 17 are in the Fortune Global 500.

The city also has a strong information and technology industry, and the value of its output was more than 200 billion yuan ($29.04 billion) in 2018.
