Jiangsu Zongyi Group became the Chinese general agency of Cleverin, a bacteria remover produced by Taiko Pharmaceuticals, according to an agreement signed on July 24.

The Nantong-based company won the honor due to its strength in the health industry and because it is conveniently located in Nantong, a key junction along the Belt and Road, according to Takashi Shibata, CEO of Taiko Pharmaceuticals.

Cleverin is widely used among Japanese families, hospitals, and schools to remove bacteria and formaldehyde. According to a survey conducted by Intage, a Japanese consultancy, the product had an 81.6 percent market share in Japan between April 2018 and March 2019.
