A parent-child handwork activity was held at a kindergarten in Chongchuan district of Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, on June 24.

Volunteers from the School of Art Nantong University taught children about the development of Nantong traditional hand-woven cloth and its connection with the Communist Party of China (CPC).

During the activity, children also learned to make the CPC emblem with the cloth, aiming to promote Chinese revolutionary red culture among children and raise their awareness of protecting the intangible cultural heritage item.
