A variety of flowers have recently entered full bloom at the Langshan National Forest Park in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, attracting many locals.
Due to an environmental restoration project carried out by the local government, the forested area in the Five Mountain area has increased by six square kilometers, with the total coverage rate now surpassing 80 percent.
According to Tang Yifu, an expert from the Nantong College of Science and Technology, the Langshan, Junshan, and Jianshan mountains are home to wild plants dozens of years old.
The Nantong botanical garden located in the area has also introduced a number of foreign flower species to make the garden more colorful.
