Nantong’s Rudong county held an awards ceremony to give Golden Bull Prize to companies making contributions to the social and economic development over the past four decades since the reform and opening-up.

The awards ceremony was held on May 18 to improve the entrepreneurs’ influence and promote entrepreneurship.

The theme of this year’s Golden Bull Prize for enterprises is “New era, new journey, and new contribution.”

The evaluation lasted more than one month and the nominated enterprises were evaluated for their innovation, high-quality development and contributions.

A total of 37 enterprises won the Golden Bull Prize, including Zhongtian Technology Group, Jiangsu Youpu Biochemical Technology Co Ltd and Jiangsu Aipeng Pharmaceutical Technology Co Ltd.

Rudong government has launched a series of policies to support the development of private companies. The government helped in building platforms for the cooperation among the government, enterprises and banks.

Besides, in order to help small and medium-sized enterprises to solve financing difficulties, the government encouraged more funds to be invested in these enterprises.

“The government will try hard to create a better business environment for enterprises in Rudong county,” said Shen Junfeng, secretary of the Party Committee of Rudong county, in his address to the awards ceremony.

In 2018, the gross regional domestic product reached 95.2 billion yuan ($13.8 billion), a year-on-year increase of 7.5 percent. The industrial taxable sales income reached 143.3 billion yuan, up 21.1 percent year on year.
