Archaeological exhibition opens in Nantong
An exhibition of archaeological discoveries from a Western Han Dynasty (206 BC-25 AD) tomb kicked off at Nantong Museum, in the coastal city in East China’s Jiangsu province, on April 20.
The exhibition displays pictures and information about the tomb of a king named Liu Jian who ruled Guangyang, a small kingdom, as he was a grandson of Liu Bang, founder of the dynasty.
A variety of thematic activities are also taking place alongside the exhibition. For example, people can use virtual reality devices to “visit” the Dabaotai Museum of Western Han Dynasty Tombs in Beijing, and experience the archaeological processes at a simulated site.
The event is being organized by the Dabaotai Museum and Nantong Museum, and will last until May 10.
