Location: southeast of Huilong town
On the banks of the mighty Yangtze River rolling to the east sits the Fayin Temple, a place frequented by locals and foreign tourists. The Fayin Temple is located on the east side of Shijian road, in the eastern suburb of Huilong town of Qidong, formerly the site of the Puji temple.
Now there are hundreds of Buddha-halls and living rooms in the temple, which covers an area of 6,667 square meters. According to an inscription written by Zhao Puchu, vice-chairman of the CPPCC National Committee and Chairman of the Chinese Buddhist Association, the name Fayin Temple was approved by the Nantong municipal people's government in July 1989.
Fayin Temple is now divided into two parts, north and south. It is built with yellow walls and red tiles, integrating ancient Chinese architecture and modern architectural art.
