A brainy delegation from Qidong Middle School in Qidong, a county-level city in Nantong, Jiangsu province, bagged eight awards at the 30th Jiangsu Adolescents Science and Technology Innovation Contest, held on March 23 and 24. 

Five entries submitted by Qidong students were awarded first prize; one was honored with second prize, and two, won third prize.

More than 400 contestants from 13 cities across Jiangsu province took part in the competition, which included a public exhibition, road show, presentation and workshop.

The contest has been held for 30 consecutive years, selecting a total of more than 10,000 entries from all the submissions.   

In recent years, Qidong Middle School has placed an emphasis on motiving students to think innovatively, holding activities to encourage creativity.
