Jingdong (JD) Cloud will set up a regional center in Chongchuan district, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, according to a cooperation agreement signed in Beijing on March 16.
The regional center will include a cloud computing big data center for waterway services, a cross-border e-commerce industrial center, an intelligent manufacturing innovation center, and a training center for skilled workers.
It will provide technological support to JD's operations in the Yangtze River Delta region and promote high-quality development of the digital economy in Nantong.

"The cooperation will create mutual benefits for JD and Nantong," said Liu Hao, Party secretary of Chongchuan district.
I hope we will see the two sides cooperating in more areas, perhaps even in internet plus industries or in developing 5G technologies, he said.
According to Huang Dongsheng, vice-president of JD, the company will share all of its resources with Nantong and introduce more businesses and partners to boost the city's development.
