Nantong marks International Day of Forests

A series of activities marking the International Day of Forests were held at Langshan scenic area in Nantong, East China’s Jiangsu province, on March 17.

The event was organized by the city’s bureau of agriculture and rural affairs, bureau of natural resources and the committee of the 2019 China Forest Tour Festival, with the aim of raising people’s awareness of environmental protection.

To commemorate the event, special edition photos and stamps featuring scenes of forests were put on display, with children invited to paint pictures depicting their visions of a green living environment.

The event was also part of the city’s efforts to promote the 2019 China Forest Tour Festival, which will be held in Nantong in September and October this year.
