An exhibition themed on Lei Feng, a legendary Chinese soldier known for his generosity and altruistic deeds, took place in Gangzha district, Nantong, East China’s Jiangsu province, on Feb 28.

The activity was held to mark the upcoming Learn From Lei Feng Day which falls each year on Mar 5.

A variety of items related to the hero, including embroidery works, books and photographs, were on display, with the aim of encouraging children to learn from Lei’s generosity and altruistic deeds.

The items were collected by Shan Jinsheng, a devotee of the soldier, who attended the exhibition and told Lei Feng’s story to the children.
