Qidong gets its first zoo

Jiangtian Zoo, the first zoo in Qidong, a county-level city in Nantong, Jiangsu province, opened to the public on Feb 1.
Covering an area of 12,000 square meters, the zoo is located in the Jiangtian Ecological Park, Huilong town.
Currently, the zoo has more than 50 varieties of animals, including black bears, African lions, Siberian tigers, wolves, macaques, groundhogs, black swans and India peafowls.
Visitors can also watch a performance by sea lions at the specially designed aquatic area.
Tickets cost only 20 yuan ($2.95).
