Haimen reports cleaner air for January

Haimen in Jiangsu province reported a drop in PM2.5 particles for January, with 49.4 micrograms per cubic meter recorded as the city average for the month.

The statistic ranks the city second in the province for clean air, with Qidong currently ranked first by the provincial Department of Ecology and Environment.

Local authorities have taken a number of measures to improve the city’s air quality in recent years, with 246 air pollution prevention and control projects initiated during 2018.

By the end of the year, a total of 192 projects had been completed.
