Chongchuan district in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province organized its first large-scale job fair after the Spring Festival holiday on Feb 13.

A total of 56 companies offered more than 1,400 vacancies in industries such as information technology, equipment manufacturing, marketing, education and logistics. More than 200 job seekers reached initial agreements with prospective employers.

The post-Spring Festival period is the peak recruitment season for many companies, and the human resources and social security bureau of the district will host regular job fairs until March, with the aim of attracting more college students and migrant workers who usually return to their hometowns during the holiday.
