Nantong witnesses tourism boom during Spring Festival

Nantong's tourism industry saw robust growth both in revenue and number of visitors during the week-long Spring Festival holiday, according to data from the city’s culture, radio, television and tourism department on Feb 10.
Ten main scenic spots received a total 1.62 million visitors during the Spring Festival holiday from Feb 4 to 10, marking an increase of 12.5 percent compared to the same period last year.
The total tourism revenue reached 24.96 million yuan ($3.69 million), a year-on-year increase of 16.23 percent.
The city launched more than 700 cultural and tourism activities during the holiday, including folk performances and exhibitions of intangible cultural heritages.
