Langshan National Forest Park in Nantong, East China’s Jiangsu province will be fully open to the public during the Spring Festival holiday, according to a government news conference on Jan 31.

An assortment of cultural activities will be held to entertain visitors, said an official from the administrative office of the park.

Located on the riverside of Chongchuan district, the park covers an area of 1,080 hectares, with a forest coverage rate of 80.83 percent.

The stunning scenic area comprises five separate mountains: Langshan Mountain, Junshan Mountain, Jianshan Mountain, Huangni Mountain and Ma'an Mountain, with various lush gardens, including Seyuan Garden and Botanic Garden scattered around the park.

Over the past two years, the local government has undertaken a comprehensive restoration project to protect the park’s delicate ecosystem, with the aim of turning it into one of the top scenic destinations in the region.
