A city in East China’s Jiangsu province has been revealed as the city with the best air quality in the province, with a PM2.5 concentration of 33 micrograms per cubic meters.

Qidong, a county-level city in Nantong, shares the honor jointly with Rudong, another Nantong city, according to a report recently released by the provincial environment authority.

In fact, the list of cities published in the report notes that the top three cities for good air quality are all located in Nantong, with Haimen ranking in third place.

The fourth place was shared by Kunshan in Suzhou and Xuyi in Huai’an, with their PM2.5 concentration coming in at 36 mcg per cu m.

A total of 53 county-level cities and counties in Jiangsu were evaluated for the report.

Along with the air quality statistics, local media organizations also published a list of pictures of Qidong to show the clean environment and beautiful landscapes of the city.
