Plum trees are currently in bloom at Haohe River Scenic Area, a national 5A-level tourist attraction in Nantong, East China’s Jiangsu province, giving the air a sweet-smelling fragrance and attracting visitors to the area.

Many locals have been flocking to the scenic area to take a look at the blooming flowers for themselves.

The plum blossom is one of the four plants that ancient Chinese scholars wrote about the most (the others being orchid, bamboo and chrysanthemums). They are also well-known as the "four gentlemen" in plants.
