The 2019 Nantong New Year's concert will be performed by Hungary's Kodaly Philharmonic Orchestra at the Gengsu Theater, Chongchuan district, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province on Dec 28.

The orchestra will perform a series of classical music pieces in Nantong, including The Blue Danube, Light Cavalry Overture, The Barber of Seville, Scherzo and Wedding March from A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Good News from Beijing.

The Kodaly Philharmonic Orchestra was established in 1811. With its distinctive concerts, the orchestra has become one of Hungary's most famous musical exports.

The orchestra is often invited to participate in major music festivals in Hungary, such as Budapest Spring Festival and Miskolc Opera Festival.
