The Nantong Advertising Association was established during the Nantong Advertising Creative Industry High-Quality Development Forum held on Nov 6 in Nantong, East China’s Jiangsu province.

The advertising association has been purposed to guide, coordinate, serve and supervise the city’s advertising industry, as stated by the city’s deputy mayor Xu Xinmin at the forum.

Xu added that the association is expected to boost exchanges and cooperation amongst enterprises in the industry, in order to promote the industry’s continuous development.

The city’s advertising industry has been growing rapidly in recent years. Its advertising revenue exceeded 4 billion yuan ($577 million) in 2017, a year-on-year increase of 24 percent, occupying 8 percent of the city’s total added value of the cultural industry.

There are four provincial and municipal advertising industrial parks in Nantong, currently home to a total of 3,538 enterprises and about 18,000 employees.
