14 Nantong enterprises listed on China's Top 500 Private Enterprises

Nantong has 14 enterprises on the 2018 list of China's Top 500 Private Enterprises released by the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (CFIC) in Shenyang on August 29.

Among the companies on the list, Zhongnan Group ranks 24th with operating revenue of 153.8 billion yuan ($22.39 billion); NT3C Group and NT2C Group are respectively listed 39th and 101st.

China’s Top 500 Private Enterprises are ranked by their operating revenues. This year, the entry threshold for the top 500 private enterprises was 15.68 billion yuan, an increase of 3.6 billion yuan over last year. One hundred and four enterprises were newly added on the list. The total amount of the operating revenue of the top 500 private enterprises is 24.48 trillion yuan, 48.96 billion yuan for each. There are 42 enterprises with operating revenues exceeding 100 billion yuan. The report says that the top 500 private enterprises adapted and led the new normal of economic development and pushed forward supply-side structural reform. They focused on their main business and vigorously developed the real economy, emphasizing upgrading of industrial structure. They greatly improved innovative capability, quality and efficiency, integrating enterprises’ development into the country’s development strategy.

There are 86 Jiangsu province enterprises on the top 500 list, with the number of shortlisted enterprises ranking in second place nationally. Wuxi has 20 enterprises ranked on the list, ranking first in the province; Suzhou has 19 enterprises on the list, ranking second and Nantong ranks third with 14 enterprises on the list. At present, Nantong has 18 enterprises with operating revenues in the tens of billions. Fourteen enterprises ranked on the top 500 list have total revenues of 706.5 billion yuan, an average of 50.46 billion each.
