Nantong builds new amusement park
East China’s Nantong in Jiangsu province will soon welcome a new amusement park -- Zhouji Fantasy Island, under construction in Wujie town.
Designed by a world famous tourism planning and design company, the park is expected to become a new tourism landmark in the Yangtze River Delta region, offering fantasy experience, sports and leisure.
The park, with total investment of two billion yuan ($301.05 million), will cover an area of 1,500 mu (100 hectares), and have a hotel, exhibition hall, amusement park and homestays. In addition, it will include a 200-mu nursery garden planted with various flowers and trees to create a pleasant landscape. “We want to ensure a scene of luxuriant plants upon the completion of the park,” said project manager Ji Yongfeng.
A cherry blossom valley is also under construction. According to Ji, it will be surrounded by 150 mu of flowers, and equipped with homestay hotels.
“We plan to build the park into a tourist center integrating dining, accommodation, tourism, shopping and entertainment,” Ji said.
