Nantong Zilang Hospital (Nantong Mental Hospital) was founded in September, 1959. It was the earliest medical institution specializing in mental disease in Nantong. Now it is a Grade two mental hospital in Nantong.

The hospital covers an area of 27 mu (about 18,000 square meters), with a construction area of 25,000 square meters. It has 350 registered beds and a reasonable team structure of over 100 professional medical staffs with senior, middle and junior technical titles. The hospital is currently equipped with specialized departments of mental health, psychological counseling, geriatric rehabilitation and hospice care.
