As of 2016, the roads in Nantong stretched a total length of 18,100 kilometers, including 543.56 kilometers of state roads, 455.1 kilometers of provincial roads and 2,397.55 kilometers of county roads. Four key road projects, requiring investment of 261 million yuan ($39.39 million), are under construction, with 141.5 kilometers having opened to traffic.
