In commemoration of the 150th anniversary of Zhang Jian's birthday, Zhang Jian Memorial Hall was established on the former site of his dwelling in the later part of his life - Haoyang Villa. Covering an area of 1,860 square meters (including a construction area of 1,200 square meters), the villa was built in 1917 and listed in the cultural relic protection unit at the provincial level by the People’s Government of Jiangsu Province in 2006. It is a typical courtyard villa with a winding corridor and traditional Chinese garden but is decorated with western architectural elements; its mood is quiet and elegant.
